Not only is Sapphire Beach a beautiful place to stay, perfect for family and friends...it features some of the best activities, restaurants, parties and services on island! Everything you need right at your feet. We'll go over and highlight some of our favorites here below :)
1.) Catch the Sapphire Sunrise! Mornings at Sapphire can be absolutely breath-taking! From Prettyklip Point and the marina, the sky can show off insane colors, especially during the Winter months. We've seen pinks and purples as well as times when it looks like the sky is on fire! Early mornings from 5:30am-7:30am are quiet and awe-inspiring and the perfect way to start any morning here at Sapphire. Grab your camera and capture these amazing colors and watch the wildlife wake up as you plan your perfect day.
2.) Breakfast on the Beach Speaking of sunrises...no better way to enjoy it than with a nice hot coffee and your favorite wake up food! Beach Buzz at Sapphire Beach opens early and features some of the best bacon, egg and cheese croissants we've ever had not to mention outstanding coffee choices. Order early and go grab a seat on the beach and enjoy. Sudi's up at Sapphire Village is home to the $10 breakfast and is so quick and good! Both are perfect choices to start your day and get you enough energy for any activity you have planned next!
3.) Snorkel Sapphire Beach Sapphire has some of the prettiest marine life waiting to be discovered at the point! They have snorkel gear for rent by the beach bar and you can expect to see an array of awesome animals. Puffer fish, eels, parrot fish, octopus, Nurse sharks, trumpet fish and turtles are just a few that we've swam with. On calm days, definitely grab your gear and explore and don't forget to check out the sea grass area on the far right side in front of Crystal Cove....squid, eagle rays and trunk fish hang out here!
4.) Watersports Activities by the Hour If you're looking for a quick, fun ride...you won't have to go far! You can find the best freestyle jet ski rentals at Sapphire Marina as well as the best high in the VI with VI Parasail. Both offer fantastic ways to see the island and enjoy new experiences. Eventures VI operates on Sapphire Beach and has seabobs, floats and tons of water toys for rent. These activities are perfect for a quick visit or to stack together for a fun, adventurous day on the water!
5.). Go Sailing or Take a Sunset Cruise We have so many great options for getting on the water at Sapphire Marina. Many charters offer half and full day options as well as Sunset cruises. With Sailing trips, you can have smaller groups, food and drink options and visit some of the best beaches in absolute peace and quiet.
6.). Go Fishing Want to spend a day with guided locals taking you to the best spots to get on the fish?! We've got three companies in Sapphire Marina offering half and full days on the water. Wahoo, Tuna, Mahi-Mahi, Grouper, Barracuda are some of the usual catch! Keep your portion and have the guys at Sudi's cook it up for you. These trips are always exciting and full of marine life. Even if the catch is small, the adventure is well worth the trip!
7.) Spend a Day in the BVI Don't worry about catching the ferry or traveling far for your best day in the BVI! We have tons of boat charters in Sapphire Marina to get you over to White Bay and more! Customs and paperwork usually done beforehand by your Captain and all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the ride. Soggy Dollar, Foxy's, The Indians, Willy T and The Baths at Virgin Gorda make for an awesome day trip and all can be enjoyed just by stepping out your door!
8.) Rent Your Own Boat with GoMojo Tender Rentals Ever want to just get out and explore on your own with no crowds and no schedule?! If you have boating experience, GoMojo rents 15'-20' fully outfitted center console RIBs for up to 6ppl for the day. Explore the beaches of STJ, Lovango Resort and The James' all with the help of a custom cruising guide, tons of info and full amenities to make your day easy and memorable!
9.) Lunch or Dinner at Sapphire Sapphire Beach boasts some of the best food on island! From fish tacos to gourmet pizzas to Lionfish at SeaSalt....you won't go hungry here! Paradise Pie and Sapphire Beach Bar have great casual options and are open till 8pm everyday. And if you're looking for something more upscale, go visit SeaSalt and take advantage of their gorgeous views and Golden Hour...cocktails and appetizers at the bar before being seated for your dinner.
10.) Sapphire's Full Moon Party & Live Music Sundays Once a month on the full moon, Sapphire throws a Full Moon Party w/DJ Cypha, fire dancers and Moko Jumbies and is a favorite amongst island residents. And if you can't catch the party, you can always celebrate Sunday Funday with live music, great food and beach views from 3pm-6pm. Both of these are always great times and just another reason why we think Sapphire is one of the best places to be on island!
